What is ID06 Kompetensdatabas?

ID06 Kompetensdatabas a digital registry where training providers record completed training courses, certificates, and qualifications directly in an individual’s personal data, which is then linked to their active ID06 card. These skills are tied to the individual and therefore automatically transfer if they need to replace their ID06 card. This makes it easy for companies to store, manage, and verify their employees’ training and certifications.

“We see this as creating a whole new level of transparency in the workplace. Employers can quickly get a clear picture of the skills available, and employees no longer have to keep track of paper certificates and credentials themselves,” says Christian Johansson, Business Manager at ID06.

The database makes it easy for employers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure that employees meet the requirements set forth by legislation, industry standards, and specific projects.

Because all certificates and credentials are digitally linked to the ID06 card, the information can be quickly and securely verified on-site using a card reader or ID06 Status Control .

A tool to combat cheating

The construction industry has long struggled with issues related to undeclared work and fake certificates. ID06 Kompetensdatabas a key tool in the fight against these challenges. Since registered training programs and certificates can be verified against training providers and issuers, the risk of forgery is reduced.

ID06 Kompetensdatabas Consent Requirements

Effective September 30, 2025, ID06 Kompetensdatabas will ID06 Kompetensdatabas longer require individuals to provide their consent in order to have their competencies registered following completion of a training program. Instead, a balancing of interests will serve as the legal basis, which simplifies the process for both training providers and individuals.

For education providers:The registration of educational certificates will be faster and more convenient, without having to wait for consent.

For individuals:Skills are automatically recorded after completion of training. For union leadership roles, additional approval is required for the information to be displayed, and previously recorded union training can be shown or hidden with the click of a button.

The new model makes ID06 Kompetensdatabas to use, more efficient, and more reliable, while continuing to protect union-sponsored training programs—which enhances both safety and security across all industries.

ID06 by the numbers – a part of everyday working life

A new ID06 card is produced every minute—around the clock, Monday through Friday, all year round.

ID06 is used in over 150 different industries and has more than 90,000 corporate customers and over 700,000 registered individual users.

In total, over 2 million ID06 cards have been issued—to companies in 45 countries and to individuals from 145 countries.

ID06 collaborates with over 380 different educational partners.

The ID06 Kompetensdatabas a total of 1.8 million registered skills—and about 26,000 new ones are added every month.
